NAPO-NC is Gearing up For Go Month

NAPO-NC is pleased to announce a series of FREE organizing seminars in celebration of GO (Get Organized) Month. Each of the three Saturday events in January will be held from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the Barnes and Noble store at The Streets at Southpoint Mall in Durham, NC. The National Association of Professional Organizers, North Carolina Chapter (NAPO-NC) wants to help you keep your resolution to Get Organized in 2008.
The topics are:
Saturday, January 12th – How is Feng Shui Affecting Your Life? and De-clutter and Make Money From a Yard Sale
According to the Chinese Art of Placement—Feng Shui—important elements of your life are affected by the way your living and working spaces are arranged. Learn how home and office components can influence your relationships, finances, career, children, creative ideas and more. You are invited to bring a drawing of the layout of your house, room or workspace. Also, get tips on how to have a successful yard sale so you can be rewarded with extra money in your pocket and extra space in your home!

Saturday, January 19th – Time Management and Organization Skills for Middle and High School Students: Postponed due to weather until further notice Postponed due to weather
Parents and students are invited to attend this session. Learn strategies, tips and tools to develop organizational skills for the busy student. This talk is presented by former educators with experience working in elementary through high school environments.
Saturday, January 26th – Who Gets the Moosehead? and Gizmos and Gadgets for the Masses
How do you start organizing your possessions when you are downsizing, moving or planning to distribute the treasures you’ve had for so many years? How do you start talking about who gets what? Learn tips on how to start planning and begin family discussions to make this an easier process. Also, learn easy ways to organize without spending a lot of money. Many of these gadgets can be easily moved from one house to another or from one room to another as your needs change. Easy, inexpensive . . . even FUN!
“These events held in conjunction with GO Month provide NAPO-NC an opportunity to educate the public and showcase the benefits of working with a Professional Organizer,” said NAPO-NC’s Community Relations Director, Stefanie Watkins. “Participants will take away expert tips and strategies for getting and staying organized.” There is no cost to attend the seminars and no registration is required.
